AIR-SHIELD™ SMP is a self-adhering, vapor-permeable air and liquid moisture barrier engineered for superior building envelope protection. This high-performance sheet membrane provides exceptional resistance to air leakage and water intrusion while allowing moisture vapor to escape, preventing trapped condensation and mold growth. No primer required, highly flexible, and durable, it adheres to concrete, CMU, gypsum, plywood, and more, making it ideal for commercial and residential wall assemblies.
AIR-SHIELD™ SMP is a premium, self-adhering sheet membrane air and liquid moisture barrier designed to provide long-lasting protection against air leaks and water intrusion while maintaining vapor permeability. Unlike traditional barriers, AIR-SHIELD SMP allows moisture vapor to escape, reducing the risk of condensation buildup and mold formation inside wall assemblies.
Constructed from tough, durable materials, this highly flexible membrane bridges minor substrate cracks and resists punctures and tears during installation. It adheres securely to a variety of building surfaces, including precast and cast-in-place concrete, masonry (CMU), interior and exterior gypsum board, plywood, primed metal, and aluminum—all without the need for a primer.
