Air-Bloc® All Weather STPE

Manufacturer: Henry
Product Type: Liquid Permeable

Short Description

Air-Bloc® All Weather STPE is a high-performance, UV-resistant, vapor-permeable air barrier designed for above-grade wall assemblies. This fluid-applied, moisture-cured membrane offers superior air and water resistance, adhesion to damp surfaces, and long-term durability. With fast rain resistance (30 minutes), freeze-thaw stability, and NFPA 285 compliance, it is ideal for commercial construction and high-performance building envelopes.

Quantity Needed

Air-Bloc® All Weather STPE is a silyl-terminated polyether (STPE) fluid-applied air and water-resistive barrier engineered to provide exceptional moisture control, vapor permeability, and weather protection for above-grade wall assemblies. This single-component, high-solids formulation cures with ambient moisture to form a seamless, durable, rubber-like membrane that can remain exposed to UV for up to 12 months before cladding installation.

Designed for flexibility in construction scheduling, Air-Bloc® All Weather STPE adheres to damp surfaces, resists rain wash-off within 30 minutes, and remains stable in extreme temperatures (-40°F to 300°F). Its low-VOC, NFPA 285-compliant formulation makes it an ideal solution for high-performance building envelopes.

Key Benefits of Air-Bloc® All Weather STPE:

  • UV-resistant—can be exposed for up to 12 months during construction
  • Rain-resistant within 30 minutes—ideal for fast-paced construction schedules
  • Superior adhesion to multiple substrates—applies to damp concrete, CMU, gypsum, OSB, and metals
  • Vapor-permeable—prevents moisture buildup while maintaining air tightness
  • NFPA 285 compliance—meets fire safety requirements for various wall assemblies
  • Flexible application—applies by brush, roller, or spray for fast, easy installation
  • High-temperature stability—service range from -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 149°C)
  • Low VOC (<25 g/L)—environmentally compliant in all 50 states

Common Applications:

  • High-performance air and water barrier for commercial and residential construction
  • Building envelopes requiring vapor permeability and extreme weather resistance
  • Wall assemblies behind open-joint rain screen cladding
  • New construction and renovation projects requiring long-term exposure before cladding
  • Air barrier system for LEED-certified and energy-efficient buildings
