APPLICATIONS
DOWSIL Silicone Transition Strip is specifically designed for sealing weather barrier membranes to adjacent curtain walls, store fronts, or windows. The transition flashing can be installed for in-plane, in-board, or out-board installations. Highlights include:
Long term durability and adhesion of the transition strip using DOWSIL 758 Silicone Weather Barrier Sealant, specifically designed for adhesion to low energy substrates such as polyethylene, a common top sheet material for flashing substrates
A leak free transition seal
Reliable method to flash openings when used in conjunction with DOWSIL
758 Silicone Weather Barrier Sealant, for adhesion to low energy surfaces; or other DOWSIL sealants as appropriate for adjacent metal and porous substrates
Can be applied and adhered solely with sealant

High-shear movement seal capable of handling specified live loads, wind sway and seismic movements in properly designed openings
Provides an easy to install transition system when used in combination with DOWSIL 758 Silicone Weather Barrier Sealant or other DOWSIL construction sealants including DOWSIL 756 SMS Building Sealant, DOWSIL 795 Silicone Building Sealant, and DOWSIL 791 Silicone Weatherproofing Sealant
Available in clear for ease of quality control and assurance of good sealant application
